It seems that, on Tuesday, a bag-snatcher in the South Korean capital of Seoul was tracked down by a small robot after he escaped from captors and fled into the sewer system. He had been apprehended while trying to grab a woman’s purse, but was caught in the act. Impressively, however, the 57-year-old suspect managed to free himself by slipping off his clothes. He then legged it, naked, in temperatures of 1ÂșC, through a pipe into Seoul’s sewers.
He was removed from the sewer, and taken to hospital with hypothermia. According to the website Pink Tentacle, when asked why he took his clothes off, the man apparently replied: ‘Leave me alone. I’m not feeling well.’
Robots tracking down fugitives. Nearly Blade Runner in reverse.
